Welcome to our quaint, beautifully-renovated, and well-appointed two-bedroom ranch in Melvindale! Updated with modern fixtures, a new kitchen, central AC and heating, our home provides a fun, safe, and easy place to rest and relax! We are a 15-min drive to downtown Detroit and DTW Airport, 30-min to Royal Oak (and surrounding neighborhoods), and 35-min to Ann Arbor, with easy access via highways and public transpo to all of your other favorite spots in Southeast Michigan. With a cute but spacious, open-floor-plan entertaining living and dining room as well as a garage, secluded back yard, and smart TVs in every room, this is the perfect little home for any gathering or getaway!

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Please park in our driveway to the right-hand side of the house or pull into our garage! If you need extra parking, there’s plenty of free street parking in front of the house as well!

The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter your code and press the CHECK to lock the door.
Our Availability

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!
Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find two bath towels and two hand towels, two pillows, a quilt or comforter, a set of sheets and two pillowcases.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

For public transportation, the street house is located on (W Outer Drive) offers public transportation - simply walk to any of the stops and hop on a bus to anywhere from Downtown Detroit to Birmingham to Ann Arbor! Lyfts and Ubers are also frequently accessible in the area for any urgent travel needs.
