Within a short drive are the woodland trails through Macclesfield Forest, Teggs Nose Country Park and the dramatic stone outcrops of the Roaches. The towns of Macclesfield and Congleton, with their shops and restaurants, are within easy reach, as is Buxton with its beautiful opera house and summer festivals. Astronomy lovers shouldn’t miss Jodrell Bank with its famous telescope.
