Coqui Cottage is a great beachy cottage in the small, quiet cottage community of Birchwood conveniently located approximately one-half mile north of the Village of Lexington. The cottage sits on a bluff and has a wonderful view of Lake Huron looking out over a ravine. Access to private beach via staircase is close by. The beach has been affected by high lake levels and can be very small. There is a village beach in town that is very nice and close by.
The home has two bedrooms and one bathroom plus outdoor private shower. Lakeside bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom also has a queen size bed. There is also a queen pull out and a twin pullout in the living room; comfortably sleeping six persons maximum. It has a modern kitchen with more than ample supplies for your culinary needs a laundry room, satellite television internet service, central air-conditioning, an electric fireplace in a nice sized family room, and both a dining and game table. Al fresco dining on deck with a table for four. Parking area will accommodate three cars. Home is not handicap accessible. Pets are not allowed.
The Village has many events during the year. In summer you may enjoy Music in the Park each Friday night beginning in June. There is an annual craft fair and art fair (usually the first week-end in August.. You can view all the events planned for the year 2020 at the Village of Lexington web site. Two golf courses are nearby; Lakeview Hills in Lexington and Huron Shores ( Port Sanilac).
10 miles north is the village of Port Sanilac which highlights Huron Shores golf course, a marina, lighthouse, and the Stone Lodge restaurant
Port Huron is 20 miles south where you have access to a mall, theaters and hospital as well as a variety of restaurants. Also day trips over the bridge into Ontario are always fun. Remember to bring your passport if planning to visit Canada.
