A super pretty cob and thatched detached house offering a good level of privacy surrounded by it's own large and extremely pretty mature grounds with apple, pear and cherry trees on the edge of the extremely lovely Devon village of Dunsford, on the eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park and up the road from the River Teign.
This listing is for the entire property so you will have full exclusive use of all the space and amenities.
The house is ideal for a family or small group of adults holidaying together and is set up for six people.
There are plenty of things for the kids to do plus lots of lovely space for the adults to relax and enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine with the rare treat of complete privacy.

Entrance hall/study with desk space and ample hanging space for coats and hats.
Box single bedroom with built in 6 ft single bed.
Sitting room with lovely views of the garden, pair of sofas, beautiful granite lined inglenook fireplace with remote controlled gas stove, TV/DVD and X box plus a collection of games and DVDs. Stairs to first floor.
Hall/playroom with lovely flagstone floor and french windows flowing to the garden, steps to kitchen and door to bathroom. An array of toys and books to keep the little ones happy.
Bathroom with bath and separate large shower enclosure and basin unit plus WC.
Fully equipped kitchen with flagstone floor and country style painted kitchen units with hardwood worktops, beautiful antique Chinese painting table offering comfortable dining for six, Rayburn (switched off in the Summer), built in oven, hob and extractor, fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, blender, kettle, toaster etc. Stable door out to covered veranda and the lovely mature private garden. Highchair.

Bedroom with king size bed and built in wardrobe and armchair, with lovely views of the garden and further afield.
Second bedroom with double bed, built in wardrobe and armchair, with lovely views over the lane to the fields beyond.
Third bedroom with single bed and built in wardrobe, with views over the drive to the extensive garden.
There is also a travel cot which will fit in any of the upstairs bedrooms.
Set in the Teign Valley, this is an amazing spot for a number of outdoor activities. There are walks from the doorstep, bike trails, fishing, canoeing, rock climbing, horse riding and golf. Haldon Forest, 20 minutes away, is a great woodland park for off road cycling, and cycle and Segway hire is also available. There are many golf courses in the National Park, including the glorious Bovey Castle, Teign Valley and Stover. Horse riding on the moor can be easily arranged to suit all capabilities, this is fantastic area to ride in. Dartmoor is 95,400 hectares of open access land, great for climbing, letter boxing or just to stroll across the wonderful moorland to see the ponies. Dawlish Warren, a 25-minute drive, has sand dunes, swimming, moorings and the usual seaside treats, whilst Exmouth, 40 minutes away, has a long sandy beach with many amenities and is popular with kitesurfers and for rock pooling too. There are several National Trust properties within a short distance from the house too.
A short walk away are the village shop and post office and the local pub The Royal Oak. Also within easy reach are the beautiful tea rooms at the Walled Garden and the brand new play park and the thriving village hall.
Approximately fifteen minutes drive or 30 minute bus journey away is the cathedral city of Exeter which offers cinemas, shops, cafes, restaurants and theatres. Half and hour drive takes you on the wilds of the high moor of Dartmoor or to the beaches of Teignmouth or Dawlish Warren.
The house is an ideal base to explore the attractions of the wider area such as the lovely coastal towns and villages of the South Hams or the stunning surfing beaches of North Devon and Cornwall, or stick closer by and take one of many walks from the house which loop back to the village with stunning views of the Teign Valley. Or visit the nearby charming villages of Christow, Bridford, Trusham, Lower Ashton or Doddiscombsleigh which offer superb village pubs.
A few miles from the house you will find Canonteign Falls, the highest waterfall in England with lakes, childrens' play areas, assault courses and a cafe.
Nearby also are an abundance of wild swimming spots and river fed or heated outdoor pools such as in Bovey Tracey, Chagford, Chudleigh, Moretonhampstead and Topsham. All within thirty minutes drive.
To be honest, there is too much to mention to see and do in the immediate or wider area!
