Directly across the street, the Kitchel/Lindquist and Harold Hartger Dune Preserves chronicle beachscape, which allows for peaceful hikes through pines, over marshes, and across protected sand dunes. North Shore Marina is a 5 minute walk from Windy Dune as is the north pier.
