Walking, cycling, wild swimming and riding are on the doorstep, along with the famous Tarr Steps clapper bridge and the deer-rich expanses of the high moor. Exmoor is one of the darkest sky reserves in England, and on a clear night the stargazing from this corner of Somerset is hard to beat.
