1 Bedroom Cabin in Hadlow Down
Peaceful and secluded lakeside setting for a truly relaxing and/or romantic break, winter or summer, in one of our four cosy huts. Excellent facilities. Coarse fishing on the doorstep. Several countryside walks nearby lead to local villages such as Buxted & Hadlow Down or wander round the lakes, ancient woodland and shaws where wildlife and wild flowers abound. Our cattle and sheep are in the fields during the summer, or barn during winter. Tunbridge Wells/Brighton - half to three quarters of an hr drive away. Main line trains - Buxted or Crowborough to London (1 hr). Pickup/dropoff by arrangement.
Kitchen has kettle, fridge/freezer, small oven/toaster, double ring gas hob, microwave, cafetiere, ironing board and iron available on request, bug zapper, fan, log burner with initial supply of kindling and logs (top up available for extra charge), TV. Wifi. USB point. Use of full size fridge/freezer, wash up area plus comfortable heated toilet/shower hut a short distance. Washing machine (extra charge).
Hand towels provided. Bath/face towels on request (£2.50pp).
Several walks nearby to Buxted, Hadlow Down, Rotherfield. Pubs nearby - The New Inn (a really old fashioned 'drinkers' type pub), The Buxted Inn, The White Hart, The Hurstwood, The Blackboys, plus several in Crowborough, Uckfield and Heathfield.
Coarse Fishing (to 20lbs+) available for £10 per day/£5 half day (2 rods pp and must have a current angling licence). Full details sent on booking.

Several lakes to wander around. Relax and enjoy the unspoilt views towards the South Downs. Wild swimming in spring fed top lake. Meander through various ancient woodland shaws and see herons, buzzards, hawks, partridge, pheasant, rabbits, wild ducks, geese, coots, moorhens and kingfishers + many garden birds such as robins, wagtails, goldfinches, tits etc. Also our suckler cows (often with calves at foot).
