This shingled beach cottage was built in 1910 as a weekend beach cabin and expanded over the years into a cottage. Simply decorated with old furniture, antiques and artwork. Very tranquil both visually and audibly—the sound of the surf is ever present. Views of the sea and the Marin coastline and on a clear day the cubistic skyline of San Francisco is visible. Garden views—from the rear windows—illuminated at night with low voltage garden lighting.
Please note: We do not keep a television but we have a very fast internet connection. Also the fireplace is not a working fireplace but it's not needed for heat as there is a very efficient central forced-air heating system.

Summary: Loved our stay here. It is (as Michael the owner says) quirky but in a wonderful way that we enjoyed a lot. Well-equipped kitchen (which is great as there isn't necessarily a lot to offer food-wise in Bolinas). It's not new and updated but is a classic California beach cottage in the best senses of the word. Location fantastic and having the dedicated parking spaces is critical as you will learn when you watch people driving around endlessly trying to find spots during the day. Easy walk to the beach and town. Michael very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely stay again!
