The homestead was originally built in 1870, in the small town of Weethalle, near West Wyalong in the NSW Riverina. Restdown was carefully dismantled and each piece numbered, so that the cottage could be reassembled in its current location - a secluded 1.71 HA property on the slopes of Barrengarry Mountain, 7 minutes away from the beautiful village of Kangaroo Valley.
