Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The house itself was lovely, spacious, with lots of comfortable seating in the living room. There was just enough of a glimpse of the ocean if you were standing up in the living room to remind you that you are on the coast. We really appreciated that the shower had a slip-proof mat and secure hand grips. The bed was okay but you had to climb up to get onto it. Although it was described as king size I believe it was actually two twins patched together.

Negative: Be advised that access to the property is via a steep and narrow driveway that curves sharply to the right as you reach the top. They don't tell you about that until you check in. It's a bit scary if you are coming back after dark. To enter the property you need to put in a 10 digit code on the "smart lock". This is very frustrating!!! Some smart locks let you push a button that clicks firmly for each number. This one is very finicky about how you touch the buttons, and they warn you about that, but again, not until checkin. And why 10 digits? Most locks require just four. This was a major frustration. A couple of minor details: the front deck has two nice rocking chairs but a table that needs to be cleaned and four very grubby plastic chairs that really ought to be thrown away; we weren't able to figure out how to use the coffee maker or the microwave (the outlet shows a yellow light but the equipment wouldn't turn on no matter what we tried; there are area rugs in the living room that bunch up and are trip hazards.

Summary: This had the potential to be a wonderful place to stay but there were too many negatives.
