Welcome to our “Up North” lake-front home located on peaceful Clam Lake halfway between Bellaire, Michigan and Alden, Michigan. The house sleeps 13 people and is perfect for a family getaway! Dock your boat in front of the house during your stay and enjoy easy access to Torch Lake – by boat it is less than 5 minutes away. You can take a leisurely walk, bike, or drive on a rural paved road to Torch Lake which is located 1.3 miles from the house. On the east end of Clam Lake you can take a peaceful boat ride down Grass River to beautiful Lake Bellaire. The shoreline in front of the home has cattails and a new dock (2022) which allows for 1 boat up to 26 feet. 'The dock is 60" wide with a handrail on one side. The deck on the shoreline is also new and a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch boats go by and occasionally see seaplanes take off and land. You will also want to watch and listen for the loons that summer on Clam Lake. It is not an ideal swimming area in front of the house due to vegetation and a soft bottom. Public beaches and public accesses are located in the area for swimming. The 3700 square foot house has 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 living areas, a game room with a remote work station. The main level kitchen is completely equipped for all of your cooking needs. . The lower level kitchen is not fully equipped but can be used for snack storage and there is an extra refrigerator for your use. There is a microwave but the only coffee pot is upstairs. . The downstairs dishwasher is out of order. The downstairs kitchen isn’t considered a kitchen for cooking, doing dishes, etc… .mainly for refrigerator, snacks and microwaving. The open concept main level has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a dining area and a relaxing living area with a 70” wifi enabled TV. The expansive upper deck runs the entire length of the house and has plenty of seating to enjoy an outdoor barbeque, beverages and relax while taking in the beautiful serene views of the natural greenery and lake. Large windows provide the same view from inside the house. The lower level with a walk out patio includes a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, family room and an awesome game room that includes: foosball, bumper pool, family board games, puzzles, a 55” wifi enabled TV with a video console that includes over 5,000 classic video games and 2 stand up video games. Need to work remotely? The game room also has a large desk area with a computer monitor (bring your own computer and HDMI cable). The whole house, including the deck, has extremely high internet speed (1 Gpbs) so you can get your work finished quickly and allow more time for fun. The wifi in the house can accommodate over 50 devices - streaming, gaming and remote work! The lower level walks out to the backyard where you can rest in the hammock, enjoy the swinging bench and relax in the serenity of beautiful trees and lake views. An outdoor shower under the deck is an added amenity. At night enjoy the beautiful star-filled sky while sharing s’mores and stories around the 2 firepits (firewood provided) that are on the property. Sunrise views and partial sunset views can be seen from the dock. 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, paddles and life preservers are available for guest use. There is a kayak/canoe launch right next to the dock. There are unlimited activities in the area to enjoy: fishing, sailing, boating, kayaking, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, tubing, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, canoeing, golfing, tennis, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding, snowmobiling and sightseeing. Orchards and wine tasting are less than 2 miles away. The house is heated but there is no AC. There are overhead fans, table top fans in every room as well as an attic fan. There are security cameras located in front of the house (doorbell) and the lake side of the house. These security cameras are only for the owners use while there are no guests at the home. Security cameras are turned off when guests arrive. Primary guest must be at least 25 years old. During the off-season early check in may be a possibility. Please inquire for more information.
