Large 3 bedroom / 3 bath A-frame cottage, one block from Walloon Lake. The cottage offers an oversize deck for entertaining with picturesque views of Walloon lake. The large open family room with vaulted ceiling is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Summer/Fall evenings. Amenities include wood floors, fireplace, central air, cable, knotty-pine paneling and a fully furnished home with all major appliances, including washer/dryer. For those that did not know, Ernest Hemingway spent boyhood summers on the lake with his family and used Walloon as the setting for his famed Nick Adams stories. In addition, you are a 10 minute lake path walk away from local stores, eateries and the public beach. And a 15 minute drive from five historic lake towns (Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Bay Harbor and Boyne City). A trip to Mackinac Island is a must and is only a few hours away.
