This 1000+ sqft, pet-friendly, 1920's, all-brick bungalow has two bedrooms on separate floors. It features several updates including central air, new windows, new appliances, patio furniture and grill, TV in the master, a fenced-in yard and is ideally located 15 minutes from downtown Detroit and less than a 10 min drive to both Ferndale and Royal Oak. The home features many vintage fixtures and furnishings with many modern amenities for the best of the "old-world" meets "new world" experience.
Much of the original 1920's charm has been preserved here with coved ceilings, beautiful wood trim and ornate plaster work. Many have said it feels like staying at an 18th-century European cottage! The property has some quirky, unusual nooks and spaces. The wood floors have a slight creak. The HVAC system was retro fit to the home to replace a coal-burning stove. There is an old coal room in the basement. There are endless things to look at in the home as I have searched far and wide to find period-specific pieces, decor, and fixtures. It is different from staying at a hotel but those who appreciate those touches adore the space and the unique Tudor architecture
