3 Bedroom House in Indian River
Beautiful, cedar-sided chalet-style cottage with 100 feet of direct Mullett Lake frontage and full lake access. Your summer rental includes the use of an oversized dock and a hoist for up to a 20-foot power boat. Hoist and dock are available seasonallyl, from about May 15th through October 1st. There is a public boat launch 1/4 mile away, and our driveway will accommodate a boat trailer. Or, boats are available for rent from several marinas on the lake. Our cottage has a large deck with a propane grill and comfy, padded deck furniture. There is also a large lawn on the lake side of the house with lawn chairs, chaise lounges, and flagstone firepit with Andirondack chairs. Inside, the main floor contains a great room with a natural fireplace, television, and comfortable seating; a fully-equipped kitchen (newly remodeled in 2023); and a dining area overlooking the lake. The main floor also contains a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, jacuzzi tub and flat-screen TV; the main bathroom with a shower; a laundry room with a washer and dryer; and a half bath. Satellite service is available on both TV’s. The second level consists of a large loft-style bedroom with a queen-sized bed, two futons, a sitting area, and a desk area. A third bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and walk-in closet, is located on the lower level. For your little ones, we have a Pack-N-Play, high chair, and toddler gates. We are situated on a secluded, calm bay on the east side of Mullett Lake. There are only 4 houses located on our street and the property is surrounded by woods. The lake remains shallow for quite a distance in front of our house, and is great for swimming. Water-ski, tube, kayak or canoe right in front of the house. Boat throughout the Inland Waterway, and check out restaurants and bars in Indian River and Cheboygan, not to mention the large sandbar at the mouth of the Cheboygan River! In the Fall, the lake is beautiful with Autumn colors and cool temperatures. Winter fun continues with snowshoeing and snowmobiling right on the lake. Fall and Winter can also bring opportunities for viewing the Northern Lights right over the lake, or check out the nearby Headlands Dark Sky Park. Ski resorts, sledding hills, and cross country trails are a short drive away. Working remotely? We have great internet coverage and ATT provides good cell service as well. Close to Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands, and Black Lake Recreation Area. Snowmobile trails are also close by. Pets and kids are always welcome in our cottage!
