Orchard Cottage in Stokeinteignhead was originally part of an 18th Century coach house which has recently been tastefully renovated including a two storey extension at the back, into a large 2 double bedroom cottage. Everyone who stays says its much bigger than they were expecting!
It is centrally located in one of South Devon's most picturesque rural villages, which benefits from close proximity to the coast.
This property is ideally suited for either families or couples as it benefits from 1 large master bedroom with en-suite shower room, plus a double bedroom (which can be configured with a super-king size or 2 single beds) and a separate large family bathroom.
There is a quirky mezzanine level which can be used as a quiet reading area.
On the ground floor there is a high specification kitchen / dining area which includes granite worktops, integrated appliances and solid oak dining table. A great way to end a busy day is to relax in the large cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD and Free-sat facilities.
At the front of the cottage is a small garden (with table and 2x chairs provided) where you can sit in the sun with a glass of wine watching our village life pass by.
The cottage also benefits from unlimited broadband / wifi. 4G and mobile phone reception has recently been introduced to the village.
There is on-street parking available on the opposite side of the road, directly in front of the cottage; alternatively we have a special arrangement for our guests to have use the public house car park which can be accessed opposite the cottage.
This cottage lovely rural retreat is a stones throw from the highly rated village pub and community village shop. There are many fine restaurants, bars and cafes in the locality and I will be happy to give you some recommendations.
Stokeinteignhead is a village that is perfectly located for easy access to several beaches on the English Riveria, the South Devon coast path, the rolling hills of Dartmoor and other outdoor activities including several golf courses, kayaking, coasteering and horse riding to name a few.
For those who want some retail therapy you are close to the historic city of Exeter, the market town of Newton Abbot or Torquay harbour. Nearby is Dawlish, Paignton, Oddicombe and Babbacombe (with its famous model village).
In short; there is something for everyone!
