Locally, there are several houses of historic interest as well as Sewerby Hall, you have Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. Scarborough is not far away where you can watch the motorbike racing at Oliver Mount or go to Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round. Both Hull and York are an easy drive with many galleries, museums, aquarium, horse racing and shopping.
