Berry Head Nature Reserve is also home to a colony of greater horseshoe bats. Shoalstone outdoor saltwater pool, ¼ mile away, is an Art Deco icon of the south Devon coastline. This is a popular destination with walkers, day-trippers, fishermen, rock-climbers, naturalists and historians, making it one of Torbay’s top ten most visited attractions. Take a ferry to Torquay with its bustling shops, bistros, cafés and the coastal zoo, or a boat trip to maritime Dartmouth, where you can ride on the Dartmouth steam railway or take a leisurely cruise along the River Dart.
