You are in the heart of the village, with a family friendly pub nearby as well as a quaint village shop, where you can get groceries as well as home made cakes. From here you can walk down into neighbouring Robin Hood’s Bay, where the cottages around the cliff edge spill down to the sea. At low tide you have a sandy beach as well as rock pools to explore.

Further along the coast you will find Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Saltburn to the North and Ravenscar, Scarborough and Filey to the south. For children there is Flamingoland theme park, as well as Alpamare Waterpark less than a 45-minute drive away. There is so much to see and do in the area you are sure to find something to delight everyone.
