3 Bedroom Cottage in Shelby
Fourth year on the rental market, this 56-year-old cottage has owned by the same family for 50 years and is now available for making your own fabulous summer memories. This is still the family cottage, so it is homey and well-loved not stark and impersonal. If you are looking for granite countertops and new furnishings, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, quiet place to reconnect with your family, friends, and nature, you have found it.
This cozy cottage will remind you of summers spent with grandparents, playing outside all day and board games at night. Two-hundred feet of Lake Michigan beach is shared with two other cottages. There is always room for everyone to have their own area. The Lake level was very thigh in 2020 and many cottages in the area had no beach, we were very lucky and had a big, white sandy beach. A large lawn separates the cottage from the path to the beach. There is no view of the beach and narrow view of the lake, is about 80 yards away.
We are located between Silver and Stoney Lake, a fantastic summer playground. The sand dunes at Silver Lake are a 10-minute ride away. There is paddle boarding, jet skis, pontoon boats, dune ridges, horseback riding and several golf courses all within 15 minutes. If you are brining your dune buggy or other ABV’s to play on the dunes, there is a very large parking area at the cottage, so you are all set.
As there is no washer/dryer on the property we ask renters to please bring their own sheets, towels, and beach blankets. We have 1 queen size, 2 doubled, and 2 singles (bunk beds). All necessary silver ware, cooking, plates, glasses, etc. are included.
Call service is very spotty; you will probably have to drive up the road to get cell service. Internet was just installed along with a phone.
