Brand new, modern and cozy tiny home, nestled in the trees on riverfront in a beautiful valley, hidden from sight. If you are looking for a nature get-away, you've just found it. It is just minutes from both Ymir and Salmo, and only 14 minutes drive to the Whitewater Ski Hill turnoff and just a 25 min drive to Nelson. In the loft is a queen bed, the couch downstairs pulls out to a king. The bathroom has a full size stand up shower and a washer/dryer. TV, Wifi, deck with gazebo and fire-table!
The space
The tiny house is well laid out and has everything you need including a portable hot tub. It has a stocked kitchen, full size bathroom with washer/dryer combo, and full size hot water tank. It has a 3/4 size fridge and freezer, convection oven and induction stove-top.
It is located on a shared rural property. When you drive in, initially you will see the industrial end of the property, you will drive through and past all of that and down a hill several hundred meters to the opposite end of the property where you will find a tranquil and charming cottage in the woods, surrounded by trees with a view of the river. It is very private. There is a very small mill nearby which can be heard on occasion. In heavy winter conditions it is ideal to have AWD or 4x4, but not necessary if you park at the top of the drive-way and walk down 60 meters to the tiny home. If you have AWD or 4x4, parking down at the tiny home will not be a problem.
The deck outside has a very large foot-print and is a great place to relax in the sun on the loungers or to sit at the fire-table under a starry night. The hot tub is the inflatable style and perfect for 2 to 4 people, available for use from March through Dec. The gazebo is down during the winter months, but the fire-table and couches are left out and covered along with outdoor blankets for moonlight nights around the fire. In the summer, the river is accessible, although there is no beach, you can find little spots to get in for a dip.
