The property is presented to a great standard with an attractive open-plan living space on the ground floor. Guests can relax on the comfortable sofa in front of the wood burner watching their favourite movie on the Smart TV. The dining table provides a great space to enjoy a family meal and the kitchen is well equipped with all the key appliances. Outside, guests will enjoy use of the garden where there is outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue, a lovely spot for relaxing in the sunshine. Heading upstairs to the first floor, there are two cosy bedrooms, the first with a king-size bed and the second with twin beds. The family shower room is across the landing.
Ivybridge is known as the ’Gateway to the Moors’ and is set in one of the most beautiful areas of Devon. It provides the perfect base from which to explore the county’s glorious coast and countryside. There are many beaches, all approximately half an hour’s drive away, including Mothecombe, Bantham, Bigbury and Wembury. Plymouth city centre is 12 miles away with its historical Barbican and Hoe, as well as theatres, cinemas, bowling, pubs, restaurants, concert hall, ice skating, aquarium and ski slope. Ivybridge itself offers a great local shopping experience, with a variety of independent shops in the compact town centre making browsing a pleasure.
For walkers, this is a perfect spot to access the open moorland of Dartmoor and the Two Moors Way footpath which starts in Ivybridge, and the River Erme valley is also very beautiful. For something more relaxing, the village of Bigbury-on-Sea is 11 miles south of the property and has a stunning sandy beach, with access to Burgh Island at low tide. Other nearby attractions and places of interest in the area include Exeter, famed for its stunning cathedral and shopping, Woodlands Adventure Park, Paignton Zoo, Dartmouth Steam Railway, Torre Abbey and numerous National Trust properties.
