Tor View is a semi-detached cottage, situated on the edge of Dartmoor, near Shaugh Bridge (access to the Dewerstone, for climbers); but also close to the city of Plymouth (famous for its Hoe, Barbican and Mayflower Steps). It is about 45 minutes from the nearest beaches on the South coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The garden has a gate directly on to the National Cycle Path number 27 , which was formerly the railway line from Plymouth to Tavistock. There are plenty of horse riding options for riding on the moor.

A car is pretty essential to explore the area. Cycle and walking routes abound.
