Camomile Cottage is a beautiful cottage located in the heart of St Just. Recently renovated there’s all of the history and character of a traditional Cornish cottage blended with creature comforts and mod-cons, giving a perfect fusion of old and new. This lovely two-bedroom cottage is just one mile from the stunning Cape Cornwall and situated within the sought after town of St Just, it’s the ideal base for exploring the far west of Cornwall and beyond, with rambling walks and quirky shops, artisan cafes and plenty of art galleries close by.

LOCATION
The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s Way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze Age and where the tin and copper ore were transported along the way from St Just to Hayle

St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Portheras, a hidden and stunning local’s cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.

LIVING & DINING
Entering the cottage there is a useful hallway providing storage for coats and boots. The living area has beautiful exposed granite with an inglenook fireplace featuring the toasty wood burner. In season we will leave you enough logs to get you going for a night or two. The comfortable sofas are perfect for relaxing in front of the fire or gathering everyone together for an evening film on the LCD TV with surround sound.

COOKING & EATING
Adjoining the living area is a bright and modern kitchen that looks out over the patio. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to cook up a feast and more. There is a Lamona 4 ring hob and oven, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave oven.
The dining area is open plan to the living room and has comfortable seating for six with a large dining table perfect for gathering everyone together after a busy day on the coast and reminiscing on the day's adventure.

SLEEPING
There are two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, at the front of the house and decorated with calming and coastal colours for a restful night’s sleep.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, lamps and drawers for storing your clothes.
Bedroom 2 has a 3ft single trundle bed and a chest of drawers. This bed can be pulled out to sleep 2 on request and is perfect for younger ones.

BATHING
Relax after a long day exploring in the luxury shower room. There’s a great double sized walk-in electric shower, WC, basin and mirror. There is also a socket for shaving or charging your toothbrush and a heated towel rail.

OUTSIDE
To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely, enclosed patio area with spacious decking, bistro table and chairs as well as a table and chairs with a parasol. This sun-trap is accessed from the kitchen and it’s perfect for evening barbeques when it’s just too good to be inside. Enjoy dining al fresco or enjoying a cream tea in the afternoon sun. There’s even an outside shower ideal for stripping off wetsuits after a day in the sea and a shed for storing sandy wetsuits, boards and bikes.

USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: There is free on street parking along Cape Cornwall Street where available and you can pull up outside to unload if needed. The free St Just Town car park is only a minute away.

WI-FI: There is Wi-Fi at Camomile Cottage. As always this far West distances to the exchange and weather can slow things up and it can occasionally go down. There is reasonable 3/4G on most networks for checking emails if this happens.

HEATING: There are modern electric radiators throughout and a wood burner in the living room.

PETS: Unfortunately, Camomile Cottage does not permit pets. Many of our cottages are pet friendly though and in perfect locations to explore the west with your companion.

LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.

UTILITY: There is a washing machine in the kitchen.

ACCESSIBILITY: Typical of Cornish cottages there are steep stairs up to the first floor. This means it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or young children. Always contact us prior to booking if you have any questions or concerns on accessibility.
