The Old Cobbler's Shop (previously known as Brooklands) is an attractive one bedroom cottage in the lovely village of Gunnerside, upper Swaledale. The bedroom upstairs has two big windows, with lovely views towards the hills. Week bookings are Friday to Friday. Downstairs is the living room with double sofabed in front of the logburner. Initial supply of logs provided, with further logs available to buy from the owners, who live in the village. Other heating is provided by electric heaters. The table is tucked into the corner, between the kitchen and living room, and the shower room, with basin and WC, is downstairs. A very well-equipped attractive kitchen (with freezer) completes the downstairs living space, with a convenient boot store between shower room and kitchen. Note, please send an Enquiry instead of Reservation Request (cheaper for you).
Outside is a small front garden, with garden furniture where you can sit and admire hill views and the view updale. All bedlinen, towels and teatowels are included. There is parking for one car directly in front of the cottage. One small well-behaved dog welcome (strictly not upstairs or on furniture). We don't charge extra for your dog, but please mention when booking if you are bringing one. Free wifi. There is bicycle storage at the owners' nearby house, along with an electric car charging point, cost negotiable.
