It’s hard to imagine when you step inside this fabulous cottage that is actually one the oldest properties in Whitstable as The Modern Cottage has been completely transformed into a contemporary and stunning holiday home. On the ground floor is a marvellous open plan living space, with smooth poured concrete floors warmed by underfloor heating, a seating area with cosy wood burner, and a light and airy kitchen and dining area. The perfect space for socialising with family and friends. Through the bifold doors is the large, enclosed garden, offering more space to enjoy the warmer weather, and after a dip in the sea you can rinse off in the secluded outside shower. Upstairs over two floors are two Kingsize bedrooms one with ensuite, a Single bedroom and a Jack & Jill shower room. Whitstable is a lively coastal town famous for its oysters, but it has lots more of offer. There is working harbour with seafood stalls and independent hut shops, a water sports centre, a thriving arts and creative scene and lots of live music in the pubs and cafes. Further afield are the historic market town of Faversham and the medieval City of Canterbury.
