Local National Trust properties include Cotehele, Buckland Abbey and Lydford Gorge. Gunnislake forms the start of the scenic Tamar Valley (AONB) scenic railway line. Canoe and cycle hire is available at Calstock, standing opposite historic Morewellham Quay, on the lush banks of the beautiful River Tamar. There is an open-air Sterts Theatre and Siblyback Lake offers water sports, windsurfing, fishing, kayaking, walking and an off-road cycle route.
