A ten minute walk down the peaceful and scenic Roaring Brook boardwalk (or a two minute drive) leads to the private Roaring Brook Beach, where you can enjoy swimming, sunning, and spectacular views of the bay. A paradise for children of all ages. Walk, bike, or drive into Harbor Springs for shops, restaurants, and a vibrant waterfront scene. If you love golf, tennis, fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, shopping, the arts, or just plain leisure, peace and quiet, this is an ideal spot. For all you foodies out there, Northern Michigan is heaven in the summer. Local food amenities include seasonal berry picking and numerous farm stands with gourmet prepared foods. Traverse City, with world class restaurants, fruit orchards and wineries, is a day trip.
Our cottage is cozy and comfortable. The eat-in kitchen with breakfast nook is well-equipped for cooking; a charming pantry leads to a dining room with French doors opening to the woods and grilling area. Relax with family around the living room fire place, window seat, and cozy rattan furniture. Opening from the living room is a screened-in porch where you can relax in total privacy with a good book. The cottage has wireless internet service and a video screen. Private association tennis courts are a quick stroll away. There is a children’s playground near the tennis courts.
Catch a glimpse of the bay through the trees from the upstairs master bedroom. A sleeping porch / office next to the master bedroom is good for an afternoon nap, or a writer's den. Additional two upstairs bedrooms have full beds, two upstairs bathrooms with old claw foot tubs. Downstairs there is a half bath. Experience the beauty of Northern Michigan in our family home.
