Located 53km south of downtown Jasper, and 50km north of the famous Columbia Icefields on Hwy 93, the Icefields Parkway, most people choose Sunwapta because of its location. The lodge features comfortable cabin and hotel style accommodation. Each room features duvets, bar fridge, in room tea/coffee, hairdryer, free but slow internet (due to location). Some rooms have real wood burning stone fireplaces. There are no phones in the room, and no cell phone service between Jasper and Lake Louise. Sunwapta has a fantastic full-service restaurant serving hearty mountain breakfasts from 7 - 11am, lunch all day, and a gorgeous regionally inspired menu for dinner from 6pm.
