Welcome to our lakeside retreat on Secord Lake. Our beautiful A-frame home is generously appointed with upgraded features including new flooring/carpet, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, luxury power-reclining chairs, massive 3-person sofa, electric fireplace, remote controlled ceiling fan/light, retractable porch owning, and so much more. This home features central air conditioning for those hot summer days as well!
Upon entering, you are greeted with an 'Up-North' feeling seeing the exquisite knotty pine interior throughout coupled with the high ceilings unique to A-frame homes. This home features a 1st floor bedroom (and bathroom) with TV and dresser for clothing storage. As you head through the kitchen, you'll notice the upgraded stainless steel refrigerator and oven along with a deep stainless sink and granite counters equipped with two bar stools on the end. Walking upstairs you will be enveloped in an open and airy space appointed with 2 double beds complimented with its own TV. Our living area boasts top-of-the line power-reclining chairs and a deep-sitting sofa for ultimate relaxation. There is a 4-person table to the side as well for card games, dinners, etc.
Outside we have a dedicated firepit with Adirondack-style chairs for use. By the beach area, there is also a concrete pad complete with lounge chairs for sun bathing and relaxing with a good book and a 'soda' or two.
**While the water levels in Secord are down currently, there is still a large amount of water for activities such as fishing (we're in a great spot from what I'm told), kayaking, and even pontooning (avoid big water stumps). This home features 88' of water frontage that is walkable out to the end of the dock. This is EXTREMELY rare on Secord lake. This allows you to stand in the water with young ones, play some water games, etc without worrying about a 12-15' drop.
Another great feature of our home is that 0.1 miles away is the Lakeshore Marina. Here you can lower your vessel into the water but also grab a fresh pizza, beer or sodas, snacks, ice cream, etc. Truly a 5 minute walk and a great way to explore the nearby area.
Traveling to West Branch or Gladwin is a breeze and there are some great golf courses 30-40 minutes away (The Dream and The Nightmare).
We feel you will fall in love with our clean, well-appointed home and hopefully be back for many summers to come. Updates are always coming so this will be updated periodically to reflect that. This home is located just off a private drive so we also have a lot more privacy and far less traffic then the other homes on Lakeshore Dr.
**There is one kayak included with your stay. Located bungee-strapped to dock. Paddle is located on side of deck by chairs**
