Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The owner was very quick to respond to our questions, which we appreciated, along with suggestions about restaurants, etc. The villa is decorated beautifully, and is very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on our private balcony so much that we bought groceries at Vons supermarket in Avalon, and ate most of our meals on the balcony. It was very relaxing, watching the cruise ship tenders go back and forth to Avalon. It was also fun watching the endless coming-and-going of the golf carts on the street below, and the very-tame mule deer that wander around the property. The unit was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedding was very comfortable, too, and the wifi worked great. It was one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed at.

Negative: Although Hamilton Cove is a short taxi ride from town, having the owner's golf cart for our personal use once we arrived made it all worthwhile, and we appreciated having the golf cart to use anytime we wanted to explore (renting a golf cart in town is very expensive per-hour). We were able to get a ride back into the town at the end of our stay with some other guests we met staying in another villa, but the taxi service works well, too.

Summary: Our private ocean view balcony and included golf cart to use made our stay very special
