Our home on all sport Duck Lake is nestled on four partially wooded acres with 100 feet of private lake front with a sandy bottom and stunning sunset views.
Enjoy clear water with our kayaks and private dock in this clean and bright 4 bedroom fully furnished home with a large yard and complete kitchen. We are only 15 minutes from Traverse City! During the summer enjoy an outdoor smokeless firepit and pickleball net.
Rental License PSTR 23-021 allows up to 6 adults plus 2 children.
The Getaway at Duck Lake is nestled away from the road on four acres of partially wooded property. You will pass through a tunnel of trees as you approach the home. Views of Duck Lake greet you through expansive windows and open living space. Stepping into our home you truly feel as if you've left it all behind and are enjoying the best of Northern Michigan - a wall of windows give you a bright and beautiful view of the lake.

The home:
The large living space and dining room is bright and cozy. The comfortable furniture, locally inspired art, and fire place make the space warm and inviting. Open the double French Doors and step out onto the patio to enjoy 100 feet of private lake front. In the evening you will sit down to stunning sunset views and a good chance of hearing loons.
Everyone will find space and comfort with 4 unique/themed bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms (one king and two queen beds) are on the main floor. The master bedroom and master bathroom occupy the entire second floor with large windows facing the water.
A second, smaller living room features a second gas fireplace, office space, and a supply of books and games. A sliding door can separate the two living spaces if you need additional peace and privacy.
The kitchen comes with all the amenities for creating and enjoying a meal at home, whether you choose to eat at the indoor dining table or on the outside patio table enjoying the fresh air and lake views. A gas grill is available to enjoy an outdoor BBQ.
Please note that use of the kayaks/lifts, dock and firepit is seasonal - please check with us in the spring/fall regarding availability. Duck Lake has a public access boat ramp to bring your own boat or to rent and have delivered to the lake.
The property has plenty of parking for cars and even a boat trailer if needed.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home, the garage, private access to the waterfront and can walk the 4 acres of partially wooded property - please make yourself at home.
The home is thoroughly cleaned by a professional service after every check-out; you can expect a spotless home on your arrival.
Other things to note:
Standard check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is 10 am. Due to the need for a deep cleaning by a professional cleaning crew between stays we can't make exceptions.
During the summer, June - August check-in on Friday with a 7 day minimum for most weeks.
Out of respect for our friends and neighbors, we ask that you kindly avoid loud music/noise from 10 pm - 7 am.
We are flexible, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you if possible.
