Welcome to Worstead Cottage, nestled in the heart of a pretty Norfolk village, beautifully furnished and decorated to create a stylish home from home for your escape to North Norfolk.
Hosting up to four guests, in two bedrooms, this charming cottage has been thoughtfully refurbished by the current owners to ensure that wonderful memories are made for their guests. On entering from the enclosed garden you are welcomed to the dining area with a table and four chairs, leading to the kitchen. A sociable space, allowing for food preparation and chatting at the same time. The Norfolk pamment tiled floor flows through the whole ground floor, lending a sense of the timeless history of this traditional cottage.
The pretty cottage kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to rustle up tasty meals, if you choose not to dine in one of the many pubs and restaurants in the area. There is a cooker with an electric hob, fan assisted oven and grill, fridge, small freezer (tucked away in a cupboard in the sitting room) and a dishwasher; along with well stocked cupboards.
The cosy sitting room is to the front of the cottage with exposed beams and is perfect for relaxing with a book or in front of the TV and in the colder months to warm toes in front of the wood burning stove. There are two comfy squashy sofas, occasional tables and bookshelves and even a bureau, just in case you have to catch up on some work whilst you are staying.
Up the traditional Norfolk Winder staircase to the first floor. For those not in the know, Norfolk Winder staircases are commonplace in cottages throughout the county, they are recognisable by their relatively steep, winding nature, often with narrower treads than a modern staircase. They are quite fun but really not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The principal bedroom is to the front of the cottage and oozes charm. There is a double bed with bedside tables, lamps and a blanket box at the foot of the bed. There is a dressing table and mirror and shelves for storage. Across the landing is bedroom two, looking out over the rear garden, with two 2ft 6in single beds, a central bedside table with reading lamps above each bed.
The generous family bathroom has both a corner bath and seperate shower enclosure, WC and wash hand basin.
Outside
There is unrestricted parking close to the cottage on the quiet village lane and throughout the village.
The cottage is approached from the rear, through the pretty, fully enclosed garden. Perfect for al fresco dining in the summer when you get back from exploring all that Norfolk has to offer.
