Located in pastoral Glenn between Saugatuck and South Haven, you and your guests will find yourselves somewhere back in time as you approach the expansive compound sitting majestically at the end of a winding, coast-hugging road where it is not unusual to see a gathering of deer lazily grazing.
The property’s rich history is palpable and goes back more than 100 years. Originally built in 1903 by the Chicago Diocese of the Episcopal Church as the summer home of the Girls’ Friendly Society—a haven for young ladies who would arrive at the nearby fruit docks by boat to enjoy crafts, games, and socializing away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The property is home to two unique structures, Pine Lodge and Bluffside, both extensively updated and modernized in 2021 while retaining their historic character. Rent them together for large gatherings or separately for more intimate stays; both enjoy convenient access to 255 feet of pristine fresh-water beach. Being located on Lake Michigan, the porches and floors collect sand quickly.

The path to Lake Michigan is steep and not suitable for those who are uneasy on their feet or cannot manage an incline.
