This adorable cottage is located on a lovely beach on Lake Huron with views of Mackinac Island, Mackinac Bridge and Bois Blanc Island.This cozy bungalow is romantic, full of charm and character. The owner is an artist and her attention to detail and creative flair are evident everywhere. There are beautiful Lake Huron views from every room. It is located 7 miles from Mackinaw City and 7 miles from Cheboygan. You’ll love this place because of the quaintness, the comfy bed, the coziness, and the views. It's is well suited for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families.
This lovingly maintained cottage is a family treasure! The owner acquired this property from her parents many years ago. They were both musicians (pianist and violinist) and the cottage was aptly named "Allegro". The owner recalls her father spending his evenings practicing his violin at the waters edge. Whether you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to relax or a comfortable place to enjoy your loved ones or friends, this is the place. The views of Lake Huron, Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge are spectacular. The cottage boasts large windows which allow not only the summer breezes off the Lake but impeccable views. The cottage comes well equipped and provides all the comforts of home. The kitchen is small but functional. The living room and dining area provide a carefree gathering place. The yard is spacious and there are plenty of shady trees for warm days. The cottage was remodeled by a Northern Michigan craftsman and the quality of his work is evident. There are wood plank floors and a beautifully designed kitchen and bathroom. We are open all year so come and enjoy all 4 seasons with us. Its a great base camp for fall color tours and winter is amazing in the Mackinaw area - so beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The cottage is toasty warm and inviting - you'll want to come back again and again. It is located directly across the road from a 60 mile bike/hike/ski/snowmobile trail.
The cottage is small but comfortable for 2-3 adults or 2 adults and up to 2 children. Pet may be allowed for an extra fee and additional deposit.
Please know that our immediate neighbor currently has 3 dogs in residence. One of them, a German shepherd, is a temporary resident and can be a bit loud and unfortunately isn’t nearly as friendly as the other two dogs and their human companions. That said, know that all are confined by an invisible fence which is the property line between our
two places.
