This cute fishing cabin has the US Forest Service 'Green Cottage Access Site' named after it. It is located on over a mile of private riverfront land in the middle of the 'Flies Only - Catch and Release' section of the Pere Marquette River. Right next door is its bigger brother: 'Red Cabin'. Come to fish, kayak, canoe or just relax on the deck overlooking the river. Kayak, canoe rentals, and grocery store just a mile away.
You will have access to the entire 80 acres to hike, fish or just relax. The cabin, built in the 1930's, has been written up in many fly fishing books as one of the best fly fishing areas for natural reproducing German Brown Trout, Steelhead and of course the Fall Salmon run. No phones, air conditioning or internet - just peace and quiet 'river time'. While not fancy, its location on the river is second to none. A perfect place if you enjoy the river and outdoors.
