Summary: The location was everything! Beautiful view of the canal with a perfectly sized cabin. We generally enjoyed our stay. I can’t give the property 5 stars though because there are maintenance issues that should be addressed for future guests. The screen on the window in the kitchen is broken and the screen door to the deck leaves about a 2 inch gap at the bottom. Since the property doesn’t have AC, these should be fixed as soon as possible for summer guests. Our first night, we didn’t notice these screen gaps and thousands of gnats joined us indoors for the evening - and then proceeded to die en masse. We vacuumed the gnat corpses up the next day and went on with our vacation. At least they weren’t mosquitoes. The next evening we closed the back door and only opened windows with working screens for air flow.
