The lake is adjacent to Barry State Game Area and located less than 1/4 mile from the North Country Nation Scenic Trail, Circle Pines Center and the Barry Roubaix bike trail. Yankee Springs Recreation Area with fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and water sports is just a few miles away. So is the quaint town of Hastings and all sport, Gun Lake. The whole area feels like a piece of Up North in Southwest Michigan. The cottage also features a fireplace and an outdoor fire pit to warm up a chilly evening. The fishing is good and there is a sandy area for swimming
