Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I liked its location and that you could park easily, so it made it very comfortable for accessibility. Nearly all of the staff were very friendly. Particularly the Thai gentlemen who works in the bar area in breakfast he went above the call of duty noticing we were struggling with our luggage, he went and got us a trolley loaded it all up for us pushed it through and refused to accept a tip and he did all this with a huge smile, he was so kind to my elderly parents during breakfast helping them with the complications of a very spacious buffet. other staff were very helpful too.

Negative: We had three separate rooms , so this just wasn’t a one off, but Our rooms were often cold, two of us had to sleep at night with hats and scarves and jumpers on in bed . There are no additional blankets in the bedroom so you have no option to an extra duvet. The duvets are very light, so if it’s cold in the rooms, you struggle. we also did not have hot water at different times of the evening. We had asked at Reception on the first night (I went down to Reception as there are no phones in the room ) and they increased the heating. But the second night we had been out and it was past midnight when we returned and the room was cold so we couldn’t sleep because it was so cold but didn’t want to go down to Reception to complain as there are no phones in the room, we were all individually cold but we were unaware that the other others in our group were also struggling . as a woman on her own, you’re expected to walk up a corridor to make a call to Reception. It’s not acceptable for the safety of a woman at night to have to walk up the corridors to try and find a phone to phone Reception . I am very surprised this Novatel chain is acting like this.. This kind of brand should not have these kind of issues.. Also, I have to say that the bar and restaurant area is not good for anyone over the age of 25 to 35. The Music is loud in the bar they’re often playing techno music. The staff don’t seem to look at the clientele of young children nor elderly people or even people over 50.. So for a Christmas weekend, Weekend, it was sad that they were just playing techno music in the bar. We wanted to eat there the first night, but The Music was really loud at 7 pm. So we left the hotel and went somewhere else which involve us getting an Uber so adding to our cost but also not giving the hotel our custom which I’m sure they would like just by changing the music or reducing the volume it would’ve made so many customers more comfortable.

Summary: I wouldn’t stay here again
