3 Bedroom Cottage in Wickhamford, Mickleton
These two delightful barns, located just outside the charming village of Mickleton, are just a short drive from the popular and historic Cotswolds market wool town of Chipping Campden, and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. Norton Subedge Barn is the perfect choice for couples and extended families, looking to holiday together, but still enjoy their own private facilities.
Toms End, the larger of the two barns, is a cosy and quiet barn conversion with rural views from all rooms. This charming property features many original features, including flagstone floors and exposed brickwork and beams. On the ground floor is a sociable open-plan living space including the kitchen, dining and sitting room, including an attractive wood burning stove set within a Cotswold stone fireplace. French doors lead out to the pretty paved patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue, where you can dine alfresco and drink in those countryside views. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and family shower room, with bedroom one featuring a king-size bed and bedroom two has full-size twin single beds, giving flexibility to families and friends alike.
The Stables is adjacent to Toms End, and altogether a more contemporary bolt-hole for two. Enter into the open and airy ground floor hallway, where to your left you will find the chic and well-equipped dining kitchen opening out to the self-contained, private courtyard with outdoor furniture, barbecue, and wonderful views of the rolling fields beyond. Also on the ground floor is the cosy sitting room with a stylish wood burning stove and panoramic rural views and french doors to the garden. Upstairs, the modern galleried landing looks down to the hallway and leads to the quirky bedroom featuring a low king-size bed to account for the apex ceilings, as well as a bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk-in shower.
Outside, beyond the properties individual terraces, the large lawned garden, featuring a covered pond, is for the enjoyment of both barns, where guests can come together and make the most of this enviable rural location and wonderful views.
Norton Subedge Barn is less than 5 miles from the historic and popular market town of Chipping Campden, boasting many independent shops and eateries as well as regular festivals and events including the Dover's Games and Scuttlebrook Wake.
