You will find two beaches, each with boat launch- one on Lake Michigan and one on South Bar Lake which is ideal for small children.
The public beach area offers a playground with climbing structure, basketball court, rest rooms as well as a picnic area, fire pits and swimming dock and offers fun for everyone! There also is a park with baseball diamond and public tennis courts nearby.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park offers hiking and wildlife viewing and nearby Pierce Stocking Drive allows for breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, the Manitou Islands and the surrounding area. Enjoy the bicycle trail from Empire to Good Harbor Beach (E-Bike are available for rent nearby). The house is in walking distance to Empire's restaurants, unique shops and ice cream parlors. A new library and a gas station are conveniently located in the village.
Enjoy spring and the blooming orchards, summer and all it has to offer and the spectacular fall colors.
