Summary:
Modern, new home in the woods across the street from Duck Lake! Many families of Interlochen Academy students stay here bc it’s less than a 5 minute drive to the Interlochen Center for the Arts. It’s a 5 minute walk into Interlochen State Park or stroll through acres of private woods right behind the home. For skiing and other winter activities, Crystal Mountain is less than 30 minutes away. The home is ideal for two guests, but can accomodate two others on a sofa bed in the living room.
The Space:
Inside the home: Whole home water filtration system so no smelly, foul tasting water! The home has an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings with a single large open space for both the kitchen and living area. There is one bedroom with a queen bed. There is one full bathroom that has two entrances (one from bedroom and the other from the living area).
Outside the home: Expansive patios with sweeping forest views! An inline gas grill and an inline gas fire pit for gathering around in the evenings!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access the entire living area and outdoor space, but not the attached garage (which is used for property maintenance storage).
The Neighborhood:
Small, quaint neighborhood in heavily forested land bordering Duck Lake and Green Lake. Lots of walking trails including connections to Interlochen State Park (5 minute walk) and Interlochen Center for the Arts (5 minute drive).
Interlochen State Park has a beach with designated swimming area, concession store, kayak/boat launches and a picnic shelter.
A disc golf course and pickleball courts are less than a 5 minute drive from the house as well!
Other Things to Note:
This home sits on acres of beautiful forested land that has walking trails. It also has a gas fire pit for gathering around in the evenings.
Guests can access Duck Lake by a very short walk to Interlochen State Park which is at the end of the road. Interlochen State Park has a beach with designated swimming area, concession store, kayak/boat launches and a picnic shelter.
It is a perfect home base for observing the fall colors, summer and winter activies!
