Summary: We stayed at Lochys Rest in September of 2024. We were very happy with the size, layout and location of the house. It was great to accomodate our two families as the kids and adults had seperate areas, but the main loungeroom was big enough to accomodate all. Although we enjoyed our stay, it left a little to be desired. The house had a musty smell that was quite strong. As it was cold weather, we weren't able to open windows to freshen it up. The carpet definitely needs a good deep steam clean. The beds were old and the couches were saggy. It would have also been great if the house came with at least towels and tea towels. That was annoying to have to pack. We were so happy to spend time together as a family that we were happy to overlook a lot of these imperfections. We recommend Lochys Rest. As long as you're not too precious.
