Summary: We were a 3 generational group ( 7 adults, 3 toddlers and one baby) and the accomodation suited our needs very well. Sintra is a generously sized house with a large, safe garden that was perfect for the kids to play in and for general relaxation although there were only 4 hard-surface loungers provided and we had to supplement them with our own beach chairs. Some lightweight, comfortable sun loungers would have been welcome. Two charcoal burning BBQs are provided, the grills of both needed a good scrub before being ready for use and you'll need to provide the charcoal. We found we were using the dishwasher twice a day and soon ran through the few tablets provided. Take some with you is our advice - ditto toilet paper and large black plastic bin liners for the recycling and general waste. The entrance to the drive leading from the road is a little daunting at first, being quite narrow and lined on both sides with stone walls, but you soon get used to it - just treat it with caution. Overall it is a lovely home away from home in a beautiful location and we all enjoyed it immensely.
