Positive: Really good driving instructions given to find the cottage from the M5. The barn is on a quiet country lane, and is well appointed for 2 people (and dog). Owners live next door and were very helpful. Once parked immediately outside and through the low door it opens up to a full height nice conversion, bright and light. A good sized bedroom with really comfy bed, and decent lighting for reading. The bathroom is good, though the shower temperature could get hot. The remaining room manages to get in a TV, sofa, chair, 4 chair dining table and a fully equiped kitchen. There were supplies of milk, tea/coffee, biscuits plus a few cooking oils etc. Through French doors there is a full width fenced patio ideal for our dog, and for sitting out in the sunshine. A good instruction booklet, including local information and walks through the Blackdown Hills. Additional local walks start a short distance from the barn inc down to the River Culme which could be walked along on both sides and led to the local Mill (cafe), Bridwell Park (cafe), village (pub, cafe, shop).

Negative: Nothing, hope to go back.

Summary: An excellent choice for a quiet country dog friendly break for two
