Affinity shopping outlet is within walking distance, and with brand shops including Nike, Gap, Trespass, Mountain Warehouse, Cotton traders, Roman Originals, all at outlet prices, as well as a Costa and Cornish bakery to keep you fully fuelled, this is an excellent North Devon shopping destination.
Bideford town boasts a pannier market and a wide selection of high street shops as well as independent stores and cafes.
The North Devon coast is as little as 15 minutes drive away at Westward Ho! which has a wide sandy beach and The Burrows nature reserve separated by a famous pebble ridge, perfect for family beach days as well as excellent surfing all year round.
Westward Ho! offers all the facilities you would expect in a seaside town, restaurants, café’s souvenir shops, amusements, surf hire, plenty of parking, and the world famous Hockings Ice-Cream vans where you can get the best ice-creams in Devon, without the overcrowding you expect in other Devon seaside resorts.
For a wilder beach experience, you can visit nearby Greencliff, (10 min drive) where you can park at Greencliff farm and walk to join the North Devon coast path, or go down to the secluded pebble beach and explore the rockpools, whilst enjoying the view of nearby Lundy island on a clear day.
