The nearest and best grocery stores are Costco or Sam’s Club in Auburn Hills. They are on the East side of I-75 across from Great Lakes Crossing. There is also a Target. Best Buy and a good selection of chain restaurants. If you are not a Costco or Sam’s Club member, there is a Meijer Supermarket at the corner of Joslyn and Brown Roads, near the Target.
Also nearby in Clarkston is the DTE Energy Music Theater, featuring major national acts. It has a large, outdoor amphitheater with a covered pavilion and lawn seating. In the winter, there is skiing at Pine Nob.
“Great Lakes Crossing” is a huge, upscale outlet mall nearby. There are 185 manufacturer’s outlets, a 25-screen AMC Star Movie Theater, Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Michigan Aquarium, food court and restaurants. On the other side of the freeway is another Costco and a Sam’s Club.
