Cottage is updated with private upstairs en-suite, Sleeps 14+ with tons of natural light, two living spaces, gas fireplace, sandy beach, and perfectly clear water. TempurPedic mattresses, central air, and modern appliances will all assist you and the whole gang to have a care-free and enjoyable vacation.
You will enjoy this property in the Summer because: Pettibone Lake is spring fed so the water is clear and it warms up fast! Large shallow swim area is sandy and perfect for youngsters. Swim across the lake to the sandbar and catch up with the locals. Loons and bald eagles live on and around the lake and are beautiful to watch. The lake is perfect for tubing/wake boarding, kayaking, paddle boating, and paddle boarding. We encourage you to bring your own boat and tie off to the dock.
You will enjoy this property in the Fall because: The colors are BEAUTIFUL! While the water is still warm you will enjoy a very up-northy feel as the colors begin to change. Only an hour away from Traverse City this is a great get-away for a large group after a day of wine-tasting or color-touring. You will enjoy this property in the Winter because: Snowmobile trails are nearby! Caberfae Peaks is a 45 minute drive with tons of other ski options near Traverse. Ice-fishing, hot-tubbing, and simply enjoying the frozen views by the fire this is a great place to re-charge, read a book, and enjoy some peace-and-quiet during the colder months.
