Alkira Lodge on Orange is definitely the best stay in Parkes all 5 star reviews and a super host managing this great home. This gorgeous heritage style bungalow house built in the early 1900's has been beautifully restored and boasts the heritage integrity as well as the more modern requirements of living today.
Enjoy a short stroll down Orange Street to access all you needs for your stay. Our home caters for 10 as couples but 6 singles. Our property has a great backyard with a Pizza oven, BBQ and outdoor fire pit all complimented by a manicured garden.
The Space: 3 generous bedrooms - Main House 1 king bed, 2 queen beds and 1 double and single (bunk bed)and our Annexe Suite 1 queen bed with its own en-suite which is a separate space from the main house and located in our backyard.
The house is surrounded by beautiful, manicured gardens, BBQ patio, with a plumbed BBQ, a Pizza Oven and outdoor fire pit.
As you enter the home the kitchen is modern and well appointed, with a six burner cooktop and oven, double door fridge, dishwasher, and microwave with everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. We offer all that you may need with the basic kitchen tools to whip up a meal. We also supply basic condiments, along with coffee pods,tea, hot chocolate. The Kitchen opens out to a dining room where you can enjoy both casual and formal dining. Attached to the dining room is our library room which has its own tv, books and games.
We offer a large flat screen tv in the main lounge, along with a tv in the kitchen area, 1 in the main bedroom and 1 in the annexe room. NBN and wifi is available.
Our living area is a generous size and can easily seat family groups, we have added our touches to reflect the homes era and selected pieces that can be enjoyed.
A modern bathroom is shared between 3 well-appointed bedrooms. The main bathroom has underfloor heating and boasts a beautiful hot shower with amenities provided. We provide plenty of towels for your visit
The house is heated/cooled by a ducted heat/ air conditioning unit in the main house. We also have smoke alarms,fire blankets, fire extinguishers and a fire plan, lock box entry to the main house with keys to access the main home and Annexe Room, with a monitored outdoor security system for the entire property.
Our Annexe room has a modern feel, with exposed brick and beams, but super cosy. It’s own heating/cooling unit. A queen bed in this space along with its own ensuite. A small seating area to enjoy a coffee/tea. We have a small coffee/tea station area in this space.

Car Parking is easy under the carport or park in the driveway or out the front.
OUT AND ABOUT
Clarinda Street is the main shopping centre for Parkes it is within walking distance but is also only a short drive away. Main supermarkets available: Coles,Woolworths, Aldi and Big W, with an array of boutique shops and restaurants. The Services Club and the Leagues Club are situated close or on Clarinda Street and the famous Cooke Park which host the Parkes Elvis Festival each January. The showgrounds plays host to the Parkes Show in August and the famous Dish is also located in Parkes and is a half an hour journey to visit. If you want to explore further
Dubbo Zoo is a couple of hours away, along with wineries and other sites that surround. We love Parkes and all that it has to offer.
