The panoramic views enjoyed from the garden provide an abundance of walking trails that lead from the doorstep, maybe enjoy a cycle to Glastonbury Tor! A short drive takes you into the heart of the Mendip Hills National Landscape – stop at Cheddar Gorge or Wookey Hole, for the must-see showcaves, shops and cafes. For a breath of sea air, head west where Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea. To the south visit the iconic Glastonbury Tor which can be seen from the garden - at the top you’ll have some great views over the Somerset Levels. Alternatively visit the many nature reserves and wetlands that provide a prime location for walks and wildlife-watching. Especially impressive are the starlings ‘murmuring’ in the winter months. If you fancy exploring further you will find the glamourous end of Somerset - Bruton, Frome and The Newt with its magnificent gardens.
