After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather your friends and family around the dining table for a homecooked meal. The beautiful kitchen has granite worktops and is well equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, American fridge/freezer with an ice dispenser, dishwasher and a washing machine. With doors opening out into the enclosed garden, you can enjoy the sunny patio and idyllic views, with a collection of furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Upstairs are three further bedrooms; one kingsize bed with an en-suite shower room, and two other twin bedrooms. The family bathroom offers both a bath and a shower cubicle. Make sure you take the time to admire the characterful mezzanine landing, which peers down upon a charming stone feature wall belonging to the kitchen.
Surrounded by rolling green fields in splendid isolation, West Yeo Farm is set over 76 acres. This medieval farm, mentioned in the Domesday book, enjoys uninterrupted countryside views across the valley to the village of Witheridge beyond. There are many interesting walks across the land and along the river nearby, and in the autumn, it is possible to help with the annual apple harvest and cider production. This part of Devon is an excellent touring base with easy access to lots of places of interest. Nearby you can explore the Two Moors Way, visit RHS Rosemoor, The Grand Western Canal, Knightshayes House or the breathtaking scenery at Exmoor National Park, a short drive away. There are plenty of National Trust properties in the area, as well as some fabulous villages and farm shops.
West Yeo Farm is just a couple of miles from Witheridge and a short drive from the market town of South Molton, known for its pannier market, quaint tea rooms and antiques shops. The accommodation is set midway between Devon’s two coastlines, convenient for a day out to either. The award-winning North Devon coastline is within a 50-minute drive and has golden sandy surfing beaches, whilst the Jurassic South Devon coastal beauty spots are within an hour’s drive.
